B Well: The 8 Hour Diet

Ann Richards was telling me about this new diet she heard about (she is always hearing about new diets) called “The 8 Hour Diet.”

The gist is you can eat whatever you want, but you can only eat during an 8 hour window each day…then you fast for 16 hours.

They’ve got research to back it up, but the general thought is that if you’re “fasting” for 16 hours a day, your body will go to stored fat as an energy source.

I’m not usually one for “gimmicky” diets, but this could be seen as more of a lifestyle change.  I think I could do this..and I think it could work.  Ann has convinced me..I’m trying it.  You?

I work nights, so I don’t get home until 11pm, sometimes 11:40pm. In the morning and mid afternoon before I go to work I always try to find ways to eat enough so that when I leave for work at 3:30pm I won’t need to eat at work. Unfortunately, this results in me eating after midnight. This actually sounds like a good idea. I think I’m going to try this and if it works, implement it into my lifestyle.
