B Well: Sneaky Spots Where Flu Germs Hide
Does the flu have you thinking more about germs than usual? It does me!
I saw this thing about “sneaky spots” where flu germs are hiding and some of them we’ve heard before (gas pumps, ATMs, your desk)…but some of them are things I’d never think about.
Jewelry. Makes sense that your jewelry would be covered with germs. That’s probably why docs and nurses have to remove them before going into an operating room. Well, that and the fact that they don’t want to lose an earring in a patient
Pillows. Yeah. I wash my sheets, my pillow cases, etc…but I’ve probably never washed my actual pillow. Apparently pillows are a huge source of infection in hospitals too.
Reusable grocery bags. Again..when’s the last time you washed yours? And we haul raw meat in them and sometimes things like sweaty gym clothes and dirty shoes.
See where else flu germs are hiding here.

Yikes, I am gonna run screaming from my house and hide under a rock, however, that could be infected too!
